  • My son joined this fantastic football club earlier this year as it has a great philosophy as regards to football in the community and has done a lot for the boys an girls at all ages in the area. They now need some help to improve and expand even further, toilets and changing facilities are very much needed.

  • As a,manager of pentre Pumas under8s I'd love to see more facilities at pentre mawr park.Changing rooms with toilets are a must have especially in the winter months. Also storage for all our training equipment and goals would be great as the more facilities provided the better our grass roots football will become :)

  • For a club to grow in such a short time scale is fantastic. And this is largely due to the time and effort put in by the managers, coaches, committee and parents all on a voluntary basis.
It would be excellent and greatly appreciated to be supported by local councils in our aim to have facilities available that reflect the hard work that is put in to provide children with a safe, positive environment to participate in their Football development.

  • Having been a parent on the sideline for past 7 years and with another little one joining this year i hope to be supporting the club for many years to come! The club voluntary strive to accomadate the needs of the youngsters. I am disheartened at the lack of facilities at the park even though conwy council are happy to fly the green flag!!!!!!!! I think the football club would benefit greatly from toilet as we also have girls in the club and regularly host matches. storage facilities which would enable access to all managers during training srssions and matches. even a little unit to make tea's coffee's etc would be welcomed during the winter months and give opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club. I as a parent would also welcome some regular policing regarding the dog fouling as more often than not we have to clear some up prior to training or a match!!!!! I would love to see the council supporting pentre f.c.in accessing facilities to enable the club to continue to grow and offer football to kids for many years to come! Better on a pitch than the streets!!

  • The standard of junior football in Abergele is extremely high with many of the Pentre players now part of academy teams. The coaches and managers work tirelessly to ensure the children's skills are nurtured and encouraged. There is a wonderful team spirit. Players parents, visiting teams and supporters always comment on the friendly welcome and the great spirit games are played with-they also ask where the 'facilities' are. Developing the site to accommodate changing rooms etc would support the great work going on in the community and could be used by all football teams- junior and senior.

  • As has already been stated below, we started as a small club with only 3 teams, over the last seven years we have grown each year and now have 10 teams from under 6 to under 16 and over 120 players, our Facebook and Twitter feeds have 750-800 friends/likes and we are looking to grow again. We have managed this growth and to regularly give the children of the area sporting fun without any facilities at all. We do not have storage, toilets or control over our home pitch for cutting the grass and marking the pitch etc. We are looking for funding opportunities to help our cause and we're hoping the place plan can help get us the recognition we deserve in terms of getting some facilities for our players, spectators and coaches.

  • Pentre Football Club have over 120 children (girls & boys) aged between 4-15yrs that play on Pentre Mawr park on a regular basis. It is in my opinion essential they have toilet facilities in a public park and storage for the equipment needed to keep them active through sport. Please address this as a matter of urgency please Conwy County Borough Council.

  • As Safeguarding Officer and mother to two boys who play football for Pentre FC, it is such a pity that there are no facilities for the children and the club to use. It is extremely embarrassing when we host games that there are no toilets for players and supporters to use. Also storage containers would be beneficial as then the equipment can be used by all club members whereas at present coaches are transporting equipment to and from the park for training and games.
