Self-Guided Trail

Abergele has lots of history in and around the town. Old buildings and churches! Old pubs with interesting stories etc.It would be nice to have a self guided trail printed and available from libraries etc to encourage locals and visitors alike to discover the history of Abergele.

  • A information map could be produced leading the visitor around the town, with points of interest along the way. Introduce small information plaques on the side of buildings, the pavement etc

Why doesn't Abergele have a medieval theme, make the most of the castle and St Micheal's church, create a sculpture of a Abergele Knight or similar character/s and have a few placed around the town, visitors would go on the trail to find all the characters. Visitors would have to spend a few hours in the town and its something for both kids and olds to enjoy and it should attract some 'selfie' enthusiasts.
Remember Liverpool's Superlambanana from years ago. Sailsbury is doing something similar at the moment called Barons' Trail.
