I would also like to have a summer bar with wood deck on the beach like the style that can be found in most continental beachresorts, and festive coloured lights along the seawall / cycle track in the evening.

  sadly the summer is 6 weeks long, if that, in Britain. calor gas heaters would be needed. im sure the beach cafes would be up for longer opening hours.
